  Indians react to Supreme Court verdict on Jammu and Kashmir I ndia's Supreme Court   verdict to uphold the repeal   of Jammu and Kashmir's special status within India has been met with shock and disappointed by political parties in the Himalayan region. India's top court gave legal approval for the Indian government's unilateral decision to strip Kashmir of the limited autonomy and special status it had held for decades in a decision announced by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud on Monday. It upheld the repeal of Article 370, which had barred non-residents from buying land or applying for jobs in the region and also provided local politicians limited autonomy in framing laws and regulations about internal affairs. The five-judge court also approved the Indian government's 2019 decision to divide the princedom of Jammu and Kashmir into two federally administered territories: Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.  KERALA GOVERNOR TAKE A CHALLENGE WITH SFI  Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on Wednesday accepted the challenge of the SFI leadership that they will not allow the Governor to set foot on the university campuses in the state. Governor Khan has decided to stay at the Calicut University Guest House from 16th to 18th of this month. The Governor, who will reach Kozhikode on 16th had earlier decided to stay at the Government Guest House in Kozhikode. The SFI on Tuesday declared that it will not allow Governor Arif Mohammed Khan to enter any of the universities in Kerala. Khan is the Chancellor of all the universities in the state. Kerala SFI president P M Arsho on Tuesday said: “The Governor would not be allowed to enter any university in the state if he goes ahead with the plan to saffronise universities.

Chief minister of Rajasthan and Madhya pradesh

  First-time MLA Bhajanlal Sharma has been  made the new Chief Minister of Rajasthan.  He represents the Sanganer constituency in  the state Assembly. The BJP won 115 seats  out of the 199 that went to polls in Rajasthan.  Polling was postponed in one constituency  due to the death of a candidate.
